I am a man – you are a man (or a woman) – we (all of us men) are all men – and those of us that are alive, are alive…
So why is it that so many of you place credence in the thoughts, the words and the deeds of dead men?
We all face the problem of how to organise ourselves socially in order to solve the other, innumerable problems that arise from our socialisation, but can’t we do that just using our minds – i.e. the minds of those that are alive?
I’m not saying there is no lesson to be learned from history – quite the opposite! The moral lessons of history have shown us what the end result is when we take fundamentals in the form of commandment, dogma or doctrine.
Let’s just use our minds and put the dead men to rest, finally.
